Simon Peguiron (Neuchâtel)

We are delighted to be able to welcome Simon Peguiron, organist at the Collegiate Church of Neuchâtel, to Payerne. The collegiate church, whose central apse dates back to the Romanesque period contemporary with the Payerne apse, was re-inaugurated in 2022 after long and painstaking restoration work. At the same time, the titular organist was able to accompany the restoration of the nineteenth-century Walker organ, which can now be heard alongside the 1996 instrument. Simon Peguiron, who also trained as a pianist, accompanist at the Haute Ecole de Musique and teacher at the Conservatoire de Musique de Neuchâtel, presides over the musical life of this spiritual and artistic centre of the canton.
