For its first participation in the Fribourg Canton Museum Night, themed “Power Play,” the Payerne Abbey invites you to discover its history, architecture, and the figures who shaped the site through the world of play.
What if the Abbey became a playground?
For one evening, try out unexpected experiences: games, challenges, balance, strategy… and even a game of Mario Kart on a giant screen. A fun and offbeat way to (re)discover the site.

Adult admission: CHF 20.- per person
Child admission: free up to 16 years old
Frimobil pass holders and Caritas Culture Card holders benefit from a preferential rate.
The ticket includes access to:
- The 26 participating venues from 5:00 PM.
- TPF public transport in all Frimobil zones and special shuttles to Tafers, Granges-Paccot, the funicular, as well as the vintage bus between DasDEPOT.ch, Morat – Vallon – Musée Clin d’Ailes, Payerne – Estavayer.
- The After-party in collaboration with the Festival of Dance from 10:30 PM at the Nouveau Monde in Fribourg.
All standard museum discounts are suspended on Saturday, May 9, from 5:00 PM onwards.
