SHOW “LE COLLIER PERDU DE L’IMPÉRATRICE” (show in French)

The young O’Chap company is performing for the first time in Payerne Abbey and will be brightening up the end of the year with “Le collier perdu de l’impératrice” (The Empress’s Lost Necklace), a daring creation combining the arts of circus, dance and music in a thrilling investigation.

Directed by Emi Vauthey and Sylvain Ramseier, the show tells the fictional story of the theft of Empress Adélaïde’s precious necklace.

With breathtaking acrobatics and spellbinding dance, plunge into the heart of this enigma to unmask the culprit.

Dates: Saturday 25 November and Friday 1 December from 7.30pm to 8.15pm, and Sundays 10 and 17 December from 6.00pm to 6.45pm.

Prices: adults: CHF 20 / senior citizens and children under 12: CHF 15. Tickets on sale at monbillet.ch or at the Abbey Church reception desk.

LANTERN TALKS (tours in French)

Once again this winter, the Abbey will be decked out in light for lantern-lit tours. These storytelling tours include encounters with characters from the history of the Abbey, the discovery of the scenery by the flickering light of the lantern, and lots of surprises. This is your chance to discover the Abbey Church as you’ve never seen it before.

Dates: Fridays 8, 15 and 22 December 2023, and Fridays 26 January and 2 February 2024

Times: 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm (meet at the Abbey reception desk at 6.15 pm)

Admission: adults: CHF 20 / children, season ticket holders and local residents: CHF 12 (other privileges and free admission suspended)
