After more than 10 years of restoration work, the book L’Abbatiale de Payerne restaurée (in English: The Restored Abbey Church of Payerne, in French) highlights the archaeological, historical, and artistic research conducted during this project. It offers the most up-to-date knowledge on this iconic site.

This richly illustrated 208-page book covers nearly 1800 years of history of the Abbey Church of Payerne, from the Roman era to modern restorations. It presents studies by architects, archaeologists, historians, and conservators, offering detailed insights into the site’s evolution and monastic life in the Middle Ages.
Vernissage Program:
- 5:30 PM: Welcome in front of the west doors of the Abbey Church
- 5:40 PM: Official ceremony with a speech by the mayor of Payerne, Eric Küng, and presentation of the book (in French)
- 6:00 PM: Guided tour with thematic points presented by the authors
- 7:00 PM: Aperitif in the Cluny Hall, followed by a book signing
