Exhibition – A glimpse into the collections: Storage, restoration, exhibition

From 20 March to 21 June 2026

This exhibition in the “Spotlight on the Collections” series invites visitors to discover rarely displayed works and to step behind the scenes of the museum. It highlights around twenty paintings by Victor de Mestral Combremont, a painter from the Broye region whose work is inspired by Swiss and French landscapes. Water, nature, architecture and several portraits form a sensitive ensemble. One room is dedicated to conservation and restoration, revealing the gestures and choices that make it possible to preserve artworks without erasing their history.
