Agenda ENG

As is often the case in mid-autumn, the Concerts de Payerne give carte blanche to a vocal ensemble from French-speaking Switzerland for a choral program in the Abbatiale. The Association des Concerts de Payerne is delighted to once again welcome the Chœur de Chambre de l’Université de Fribourg to the Abbatiale for a concert entitled «Miroirs baroques», as conceived by its creators. This program brings together emblematic works of the polychoral practice of the Baroque era, from its Italian origins to its maturity embodied by Johann Sebastian Bach: a concentration of masterpieces of rare intensity.

Hymn Ave Maris Stella SV 206/12, from the Sanctissimae Virgini Missa senis vocibus ac Vesperae pluribus decantandae…, Venice, 1610.
