Three days of celebration, music and discovery to celebrate together the five-year anniversary of the reopening of the Abbey Church Payerne!
This anniversary weekend pays tribute to everyone who has brought the site to life since 2020 – cultural, musical and religious teams, as well as the loyal and curious public who continue to visit it.
Flash guided tours, concerts, musical entertainment, giant paella, the monks’ garden and a shaded terrace await you in a festive summer atmosphere. Between activities, enjoy a refreshing drink at the entrance and relax in our garden, open to everyone.
Activities Throughout the Weekend
Audioguide Tour of the Abbey
Available in French, German or English.
Included in the entry ticket.
Flash Guided Tours
In 30 minutes, discover a key element of the restoration works and a highlight of the visitor tour. The theme changes at each session—come back as often as you like!
Every day at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. Starts from the Abbey reception.
Included in the entry ticket. Tour in French.
Musical Entertainment
Mini-concerts (20 minutes) to discover early music and forgotten instruments in a warm and welcoming setting. Depending on the program and the weather, these concerts will take place in the Abbey, the monks’ garden or the parish church.

Saturday at 11:30 AM, 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM
Sunday at 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM
Mini-concerts in the monks’ garden and parish church are free with a collection at the end. Those in the Abbey are included in the entry ticket.

Ecoute ! – Organ concert in darkness by Benoît Zimmermann, titular organist of Payerne. A unique sensory experience where sound becomes light.

De la considération by Cie La Renaissance – A musical journey through the writings of Bernard of Clairvaux, blending spirituality and classical music.

Giant Paella
Prepared in the monks’ garden by Diana from Restaurant La Scala and enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere.
